The head office of Lok Sin Tong and Lok Sin Tong Primary School, which ceased operation in August 2019, will be redeveloped for social welfare purpose. To optimise the use of idle site during the redevelopment assessment stage and establish a model of school premises-converted housing project for reference by the trade, the School has been renovated and converted into transitional social housing.

  • To provide grassroots families on the PRH waiting list with social housing at affordable rent to ease their financial burden
  • To improve their current living conditions and quality of life
  • To offer community-based and appropriate family support services, such as medical subsidies, after-school homework tutorial classes, etc.
  • To reflect, by drawing reference from the results achieved and data obtained from the project, the importance of transitional social housing to grassroots families
