| Description of Project | Various activities are organised under the project with the aim of forming a social network among tenants and developing their social capital. The operating organisation has assigned a social worker to reside in the shared unit and attend to the personal and family problems of the tenants. The social worker also focuses on enhancing tenants’ relationship with their neighbours, as well as familiarising them with the community’s resources by engaging them in group activities. For example, a rice dumplings workshop was organised for tenants, who then shared the rice dumplings they had made with other residents in the same building. Led by the social worker, the tenants also visited a Youth Centre in the vicinity. The activity introduces them to community services and help them establish a connection with their community. |
